+Issue #36's reproduced collision comes from a two-line title painted in space reserved for one line, with bounds sized from its summary. Adopt one derived hard-line plan measured before routing, shared by paint/hit/preview/focus/SVG. Preserve raw excerpt provenance, authored centers/routes and model/source bytes. Desktop measures with the canvas Paragraph defaults; core retains an explicit approximate fallback. Opaque State label backgrounds own covered hits in reverse paint order while selected handles and group admission retain precedence.

Revisit if new ink-overhang, shaping, routing-cost, or authored-occlusion evidence invalidates the bounded design. Dynamic node/row sizing and source/model changes were deliberately excluded.
