# Packaged contextual authoring — native Windows acceptance Codex-9e8r6t `/root`, 2026-09-11. **Fresh corrected-profile trial pending.** The first trial below established desktop/model behavior but failed the strict package-file inventory guard because the test launcher omitted a Windows path environment variable. No release has been published from this evidence yet. Linux remains paused by the user. ## Frozen package and first native trial The independent review admitted the exact 559-file ZIP, 32,775,691 bytes, SHA256 `9186d4fc9a7b52fb195c183c4847c8e3419ea6da8b3f907e0c06f9ceec58dee0`. Root launched its independent extraction at 16:22:25 UTC, PID9764, using GUI5657 and F456 runtime, a new private application profile and `PATH=C:\Windows\System32;C:\Windows`. Full process environment and executable paths are recorded in `.local/contextual-prerelease-gui-20260911/launch.json`. The only loaded modules outside C:\Windows were the packaged executable and its sibling libunwind.dll. No compiler or toolchain runtime path was needed. The Home page opened with an empty Recent models list. The built-in Engineering guide rendered its offline topics and first-model instructions. Through the real Open picker, root loaded a private complete two-file contextual-source baseline, then used Behavior → Add first lifeline. Parent name `Assessment lifeline` and new root Activity `Assess incident work` remained independent; the source form showed the retained consumer and explicit OA root. Use returned to the pending parent with two accepted objects. Root clicked Create before Save; the canvas and tree then showed the Activity and its lifeline with four accepted objects. Ctrl+S displayed All changes saved. The unchanged complete model/source oracle subsequently passed this first trial's **model-only** check: three exact reachable/physical source files and original role UUIDs. This does not waive the separate package-inventory failure. Screenshots, exact checkpoint, oracle output/arguments and raw process logs remain in the first trial. Native Alt+F4 closed PID9764 normally; a subsequent process check found it absent. A numeric GUI exit code was not observed. ## Test-environment correction and preserved failure The custom USERPROFILE initially had no Desktop directory. Windows Open showed a Location is not available notice for that private path. Root created only that missing directory inside the private trial profile and dismissed the notice with Escape. The first accessibility-index click did not dismiss it; a later set_value attempt returned `Requested property was not in the CacheRequest`. After refreshing, ordinary literal typing into the visibly focused file-name field opened the intended private model. No model-path shortcut or implicit source modification was substituted. After GUI Save, the strict package guard refused **before** running its saved checkpoint oracle. Exact comparison found no removed or changed original file, but one new file at the literal relative path `%SystemDrive%/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/Caches/cversions.2.db`. The launcher omitted SystemDrive; this is the identified environment hypothesis for Windows shell cache placement, to be tested by a fresh corrected trial. The extra file, first extraction and first trial are preserved. They are not cleaned or relabeled as an unchanged-package pass. The later explicitly scoped model-only oracle check above was recorded separately. The corrected launcher will retain private APPDATA/LOCALAPPDATA/USERPROFILE and TEMP/TMP, create Desktop before launch, and supply standard Windows path environment variables without inheriting credentials or toolchain PATH. A fresh extraction must repeat desktop opening, guide, real contextual Create/Save and the unchanged complete oracle, then preserve all 559 original package files with no additions. Root owns that native acceptance and publication; the server reviewer's earlier artifact/API/persistence results remain separate and valid for their recorded pre-GUI scope.
