Native source-5 checkpoint recovery — 2026-09-06

Windows process 9716, window 5702656, staged desktop .local/native-qa/bin-source6-recovery/arcadia-studio.exe, SHA256 DD5D01FA07B921F1A7B365C33867876A7AE1BCBD01815B4BB4206408D2012F95. Isolated APPDATA/LOCALAPPDATA, system-only PATH plus colocated libunwind.dll. This build includes source-5 recovery, Child/Incident review and visible-line counts. It precedes artifact reconciliation and the diagram-inspector fix.

The synthetic checkpoint 15000000-0000-4000-8000-000000000010 was installed only in the task-local recovery directory. Home Refresh discovered it; Recover opened Textual model with the original invalid source-5 draft, its Unicode text, two-file workspace and pending filename drafts/retained-name.arcadia visible. The footer explicitly reported recovery of source 5 as source 6 in an unsaved copy. The invalid token diagnostic remained visible; no silent repair occurred.

The new retained checkpoint 7d754698-fcae-4e95-b38a-d49b77292916, copied to .local/native-qa/source5-recovered-before-repair.json, proves exact equality of the dirty raw text, its old baseline, included source and pending filename. Only the accepted entry's parsed version changed to 6. The original checkpoint remained byte-identical, SHA256 71CCA2A59F36B2A07D11DEDBE9101226AA1A4A00D8AC244B5565202E56709F51.

Native repair inserted // before the unfinished last line, preserving that text as a comment. Apply all accepted the bundle and changed the draft's version token to 6. The two advisory coverage diagnostics for the fixture's unallocated, unused activity remained visible. Save as to .local/native-qa/source5-repaired/recovered.arcadia succeeded on the first attempt, renamed the entry, retained work.arcadia, and displayed All changes saved. Both original and recovered private checkpoints retired (zero JSON files).

Direct post-save comparison proved the entry equals the initial raw draft with exactly the version-token substitution and comment insertion. All seven CRLF separators, Unicode, header comment, stable IDs and included-file text survived. Saved hashes:

  • recovered.arcadia: 2D6F09D94395928EF892EFF0DDBF257E939CF5B9B8F82FC594309EEF30036231
  • work.arcadia: 10D0D6B7EAEB068F9D99206495AB5E2A4D7D935DEBBE6A0940BB61A47D7156C2

This proves native recovery/repair/save for a deliberately constructed old checkpoint. It does not claim an old-version process crash was performed, or that every historical checkpoint is migratable. The strict admission and workflow fingerprint boundaries have separate automated and independent review evidence. The first-release goal remains incomplete.
