WSL capacity recovery evidence — 2026-09-11

Codex-9e8r6t /root. Exact original bytes are listed in manifest.json. This checkpoint establishes capacity recovery, not Ubuntu installation or a Linux application build. No file deletion ran: both scoped incremental-cache deletion attempts were rejected before execution with blocked by policy.

The ordinary NTFS incremental-cache compression pass (session53364) was intentionally stopped with Ctrl+C, exit1, after raising free space from about 4.44GB to5.22GB. Its log is partial; there is no completed whole-cache result. The subsequent generated-GUI pilot completed exit0 with identical SHA256.

The bounded generated-binary pass (session54860) completed exit0 in452.19s, covering282 files with every before/after SHA256 identical. Measured free space rose5,297,827,840→11,777,519,616 bytes. The script retains all bytes and invokes only compact.exe /C /EXE:XPRESS8K /Q for each validated project-local binary. It excludes toolchain and Linux stages, symlinks and all incremental subtrees. Do not rerun the archived script: its relative root is specific to its original private location and it is preserved solely as the executed method.

The user explicitly authorized freeing disk space, including caches. The nondeleting compression method was selected after the deletion denial; no alternate deletion tool, host security or boot-setting change was used. See ../../release-wsl-readiness-9e8r6t-20260911.md for continuing setup status.
