Corrected native navigation trial v3 — 2026-09-11
Codex-9e8r6t /root performed the native trial and reviewed this report. Independent archive review read the frozen receipts/metadata, inspected screenshot 36 and preserved exact bytes. Issue 6 owns current work.
Partial native success; not accepted for release. The four original interaction corrections and four final saved-source oracle checks succeeded in their scoped trial. Repair testing exposed a new P1: Apply all could say “All changes saved” before repaired files reached disk. A separately identified fix/build/native rerun is required. No completed fix or package is implied here.

DLL SHA256 f45604a12e8bcd839fd86f667c1be1cc7c4f9da2b3c69ff381ac708f0e1ae7d4. The corrected-build archive records the actual 750 passed/zero failed/one ignored full desktop gate and matching GUI build; these do not establish native acceptance.
Launch receipt: 19:54:19 UTC, PID 7384, private .local/text-navigation-native-20260911-v3 profile/work/runtime. Standard Windows paths plus Windows-only PATH and private USERPROFILE/APPDATA/TEMP are recorded. Root closed the application normally and verified fresh window/PID absence. At 20:26:05 UTC, the close readback found the executable and DLL unchanged. No numeric process exit code was observed. Application stdout/stderr are both empty. This archivist did not run or inspect any live process.
Scoped native observations
The following are root's observed native actions, retained in the numbered original JPEGs and capture metadata; metadata alone is not an interaction replay.
| Captures | Action and scoped result |
|---|---|
| 01–04 | Home; exact F12 declaration and reference navigation; Close then Back returned without the empty results strip. |
| 05–08 | Comment edits cleared/repopulated lint without moving the editor; draft results required explicit choice; source Undo restored bytes and invalidated old results. |
| 09–11 | Find alone closed with one Escape, returning editor focus; subsequent F12 worked. |
| 12–16 | Alt+Space menu, Escape and the later neutral click stayed clean; ordinary Space still edited. Capture 13 has two frames. This verifies the settled sequence that failed in DF71; it does not instrument actual Windows key payloads or native AltGr input. |
| 17–23 | Actual outer 1102×732 / client 1100×700: editor, Find/results, scrollable header and dismissal remained usable; explicit Save all succeeded. |
| 24–31 | Ambiguous source opened for repair; declarations/references reflected ambiguity and required explicit target choice. Removing the deliberately added duplicate, Apply and then explicit Save restored the exact valid baseline. |
| 32–37 | Missing include opened for repair; navigation marked partial loaded-file scope and offered explicit choice. Removing the broken include, Apply and explicit Save restored the baseline. The intermediate Apply state produced the P1 below. |
| 38–52 | A model with 94 elements across 30 Arcadia files: ScenarioUse callee oa_conversation F12, six lexical uses and Back; binding participant oa_caller F12, four uses and Back; explicit Save and complete oracle. No new engineering model edits were made. Supporting model.json also contains 62 relations; “94 elements” does not count every kind of model record. |
Release-blocking P1: repaired model falsely shown saved
Screenshot 36 displays the repaired entry without the broken include, “Model in sync,” the bottom status “All source files applied as one model change,” and the top status “All changes saved.” The adjacent 20:18:44 UTC disk snapshot contains four files, still includes missing/not-loaded.arcadia in project.arcadia, and has no such target. Archive checks matched every snapshot file to the written receipt and directly confirmed both facts.
This distinguishes accepted model application from successful disk save. A user can reasonably believe the repair is already durable. Closing before Save/data loss was not tested; do not claim observed loss. The later explicit Save at capture 37 and successful oracle verify that final saved state, not the false-clean interval. Root independently confirmed the defect and owns its correction; this trial cannot be reclassified as a full pass after a source-only fix.
The disk-capture helper successfully copied the files and wrote JSON before a final Unicode print failed under cp1252. That is a console-only failure reported by root; retained bytes and receipt are complete. The archivist did not rerun the helper.
Actual final saved checkpoints
All four receipts use pinned oracle SHA256 967d9ba3c6fb3a7efb410833903ec94556ca2d48a67d5072c8bb160f40a00f9c, command same, exit 0, empty stderr. Their stdout states complete model/identity, reachable sources and exact physical Arcadia equality, with zero proven retained extras.
| Checkpoint | UTC | Arcadia files |
|---|---|---|
| valid-corrected-final-saved | 20:11:57 | 4 |
| ambiguous-repaired-saved | 20:15:34 | 4 |
| missing-include-repaired-saved | 20:19:24 | 4 |
| engineering-navigation-saved | 20:25:38 | 30 |
The engineering folder has 37 total files: 30 Arcadia plus four JSON, two Markdown and one Rust. The archive's static checks additionally matched complete file inventories/bytes against the pinned valid or engineering baseline, including those supporting files. No new oracle execution was performed during archiving.
Durable evidence and next acceptance
Raw native archive: 180 raw payloads, 5,694,855 bytes, manifest SHA256 f9a003211d67e9b6caf19ddeee79feda1ec57f8ab69889543e176acb08d25fea. There are 52 capture metadata files and 53 original JPEGs. Original helpers, all four saved checkpoints/oracle records, false-clean disk checkpoint, launch/binary records and empty streams are retained. No images or source files were normalized. Nested .gitattributes uses * -text; generated manifest/readback/README controls are separate from its payload list.
Before a release, the repair fix needs its meaningful affected tests, identified matching GUI, and native verification that Apply remains unsaved until successful disk Save, including the relevant close/cancel behavior. Preserve these earlier useful navigation passes as artifact-specific evidence. Root owns the final synthesis and publication; Linux remains paused.
