Navigation prerelease: completed packaged Windows trial
The bounded packaged native trial passed on 2026-09-11. Root (Codex-9e8r6t) operated the real Windows application; /root/native_archive preserved evidence and independently inspected stored captures 06, 08 and 11. No new native, oracle, module, package or GUI run was performed during archival. The original close helper failed; a separate read-only closure observation subsequently established terminal exit code 0 for the same process creation and unchanged package bytes.
Identity and boundaries
The candidate is 0.2.0-preview.navigation.20260911, source 33c6d83e9ba9a5b1310b1b627d7c40affcbcf15c. ZIP SHA256 is d7228c542f162663933ea002739a78c722bcca41e437df63b7c868ea2af201f1, 32,971,712 bytes, 559 extracted files. Studio SHA256 is b183ef31f16b3986538b3f2aba8435eab45978635c47f99ca01be6e72b168848; the historical server remains separately sourced (EFEE…E665), with retained F456…E7D4 libunwind DLL. See producer preparation, producer archive and independent review / review archive. These archives were not changed by native archival.
Admission bound the exact independently reviewed extraction, producer readback and independent artifact PASS to the frozen helper. The application launched at 21:25:20 UTC, PID 1348, creation FILETIME 134336355202397809, with private profile/temp paths and Windows-only PATH. The stored captures are 1442×932 outer window; root reported 1440×900 client. This was a valid four-file Unicode project navigation/save trial, not a repeat of minimum-size, invalid-source repair/recovery or engineering workflows. Existing v4 valid fixture and integrated navigation evidence retain that broader context.
Observed workflow
Root's actual interaction account is paired with the original numbered JPEG and JSON records under screenshots:
| Capture | Action and observed result |
|---|---|
| 01–02 | Home and offline engineering guide opened. |
| 03–04 | Native Open loaded project.arcadia, four source files, two activities and one interaction; caret placed on the lexical reference. |
| 05 | F12 navigated to the included 救援/assess.arcadia declaration. |
| 06 | Shift+F12 showed one declaration and exactly one lexical use; comment and description mentions were excluded. |
| 07 | Alt+Left returned to links.arcadia. |
| 08 | Appending Package trial. to a comment showed Unsaved changes, Drafts pending and explicitly stale navigation results. |
| 09–10 | Ctrl+Z restored clean source, then Apply all showed Model in sync. |
| 11 | Save all showed All changes saved and All source files saved. |
Independent inspection of stored captures 06/08/11 confirms those visible states. In 11 the navigation panel still explicitly labels its previous results stale; save does not falsely present them as refreshed. Five advisory model checks remain visible for this intentionally small fixture; this trial does not claim engineering completeness or zero model checks. Screenshots substantiate visible states; root's account establishes input sequences, and the saved oracle establishes disk/model facts.
Saved state, modules and closure
At 21:28:27 UTC the saved checkpoint ran the pinned oracle SHA256 967d9ba3c6fb3a7efb410833903ec94556ca2d48a67d5072c8bb160f40a00f9c, exit 0: PASS exact model/identity/4 reachable sources; 4 exact disk files (0 proven retained). The four preserved source files match the initial baseline hashes byte for byte. This proves saved model/identity/reachability and disk equality, not UI actions. Full 559-file package maps and ZIP hash agree before launch, before/after the saved oracle, and after separate closure. The 21:28:36 module receipt records 126 modules, all under Windows or the reviewed package. Original application stdout/stderr are retained.
Root closed the actual window using X, then observed a fresh application list containing only Codex/VPN and a separate Get-Process -Id 1348 absence at 21:29:31 UTC. The original helper's closure action failed at QueryFullProcessImageNameW after process opening/time query. Its actual Win32 error was not captured; cause is unknown. Original close observation is explicitly attributed transcription from root's tool result, not fabricated raw stderr. No original successful closed.json exists.
Root separately reviewed and executed close_readonly.py at 21:32:12–19 UTC. The process receipt identifies the same creation and actual GetExitCodeProcess result 0; it did not restart or terminate the GUI. The separate PASS receipt binds this process result and the final complete unchanged package map. This later code is not retroactively attributed to the failed original helper.
Archived close_readonly.py SHA256 16921ad616344132c4f1a7cd8fc49276dbbb8ee32415432d5b1604eb73fae43c exactly matches root's recorded reviewed hash, including sys.dont_write_bytecode = True; no provenance mismatch was found. Frozen original helper SHA256 remains 11e1ac5379c28e17b8a9f5b883ddf0640994eea34de257f4e66efe6033190877. Preparation and unbound drafts remain byte-exact and retain their historical pending text.
Archive verification and remaining ownership
Archive README describes the whitelist and read-only verifier. It preserves 58 originals, 1,689,243 bytes, including 11 JPEG/metadata pairs and the exact four-source checkpoint. No executable, ZIP, profile or cache is included. python harness/experiments/navigation-prerelease-native-20260911/verify.py checks archive hashes, original pins, capture metadata, maps, source equality, recorded oracle and module results, and closure receipt relationships without rerunning runtime acceptance. The archive does not replace the actual release ZIP or prove publication. Staging, commit, integration, Gitea consolidation and release publication remain with root.
