Prerelease human checks: State routes and Traceability
Use the Windows application supplied with the prerelease. These small starters and checks are intended for hands-on review; preparing this kit did not run or certify the combined prerelease. Please record its version, what you tried, expected/actual behavior, and a screenshot if helpful.
Start safely and keep your result
Keep the original downloaded kit untouched. Copy this entire kit to a writable folder and treat that copied folder as your working model. Open the entry file listed below through the application's Open command. Use Save As to a new entry name in the copied model's folder before editing. A new entry name does not isolate included files: entries in the same folder may share them. Keep the surrounding folders with the saved entry; a model may save as several included files. After each check, use Save. Close the application normally, launch it again, open your saved entry and check that the result remains. No development checkout or .local folder is needed.
State bends and endpoint cancellation
Open state/native-fixture.arcadia. Choose 03 Readiness — edit attachments and select Activate: Ready → Active.
- Choose Actions → Add bend. A new authored square should appear; the original square remains. Undo should remove the new bend and Redo restore it.
- Drag the new square to a clear area, then release. The route should follow the moved bend; Ready and Active should stay in place. Undo/Redo should reverse/repeat that move.
- Right-click the moved square and choose Remove bend. Only that authored bend should disappear. Undo to restore it. Actions → Clear bends should remove all authored squares; Undo should restore them. Save with at least one moved bend so reopening tests a visible edit.
- Open 04 Readiness — untouched reference. It should retain its own layout, without acquiring the bends edited in view03. Return to view03.
- Right-click Activate and choose Adjust source attachment, then immediately press Escape, before dragging. The attachment tool should cancel without moving the tip or changing the transition. Repeat with Adjust target attachment. Save and reopen your result; the moved bend should remain and the transition should still connect Ready to Active.
Authored bends are square handles; endpoint handles are circles. Ordinary endpoint dragging reconnects a transition. Use the explicitly named attachment action when testing cancellation. Internal transitions shown as rows are not routed lines. This short check does not exercise held-drag cancellation or every state symbol.
Traceability: find and place an existing counterpart
Open traceability/traceability-trial.arcadia (entry plus seven included files). Choose 01 Traceability trial.
- Read the Traceability explanation and correspondence-line count. Initially there are three placed cards and one correspondence line. Ordinary relationships may also appear. Review layer traces should expose the existing Send refinement and Receive refinement records; return to the diagram afterward.
- Use View visibility to inspect why Receive refinement has no line: its SA receive endpoint has not been placed in this view.
- Choose Add existing elements. The chooser should start at All compatible types and offer SA receive. Select it and click in the clear space below OA receive. This places the existing element; it should not create a semantic duplicate. Expect four cards and two correspondence lines. Select the new correspondence and inspect its OA receive / SA receive endpoints.
- Undo should remove the placement and return the count to one; Redo should restore the placement and two lines. 02 Independent reference should keep its original four-card layout. Return to view01, Save, close normally and reopen the saved entry: four cards and two lines should remain.
Known limits
These are deliberately small, incomplete models. Engineering warnings are expected; the published Traceability trial retained15 such warnings. A correspondence count describes lines projected in this saved view, not project-wide coverage. Switching projection does not create counterparts or automatically place them.
The multiline-label issue #36 remains a known limitation; this kit does not establish label readability. Picker/focused-input Escape work #35 is pending and is not accepted by these checks. Immediate State attachment cancellation has separate prior evidence and is the limited Escape check above. This kit does not cover Allocation-group or Process workflows, general accessibility, all window sizes, Linux, or full application acceptance.
provenance.json identifies exact source/evidence commits, original paths and SHA-256 values. Starters are unchanged copies from published branch-specific evidence; the human results on the supplied prerelease are still to be recorded.
