Windows native lifecycle and palette acceptance
The bounded native trial at dd39e1fdc1 passes the
lifecycle and palette workflows below. The actual GUI ran from 02:01:46 to
02:35:43 UTC on 2026-09-13 and closed through Alt+F4 with exit 0; both native
stdout and stderr are empty. This is a contribution checkpoint, not combined
navigation acceptance or a release package.
The archive retains original
frames and observation notes, fixture provenance, stage/launch/closure records,
comparison receipts, input bindings and independent review. Forty-one captured
images retain their original bytes and SHA-256 bindings. The capture helper used
.png filenames for JPEG/JFIF payloads; the archive preserves and discloses this
labeling error rather than converting the evidence. No model edits were performed in this
trial; selection, scrolling, fitting, source navigation, Save and reopen were
exercised on private working copies.
Identified build and evaluators
Windows GNU/LLVM Rust/Cargo 1.98.1 with LLVM-MinGW 20260908, one build job.
The dd39 GUI SHA-256 is
4eefe66eb3b6c315c11cfc1ac933b07515abaac069f5ce4f4c0a04fe7c53fdd2;
the staged libunwind DLL is
aa282fa47bb2c4e210cea5e470cdbdca58568f0be0bc73e404d86ab9cd95ef6a.
The stage manifest binds the actual binary to passing GUI/strict gates and ten
affected style tests on 538 unchanged inputs. The full 874-test suite passed at
e44f07565c. Independently reviewed reuse covers
only the exact two iterator/dereference corrections in a test file between e44
and dd39; no full-suite execution at dd39 is asserted.
Automated evidence and failures retained.
The actual-core comparison executable, SHA-256
9796aa73544c6414003e6230a668a6cf1435978a310187ef2560af67e35f3466, compares complete
Project equality and exact SourceBundle equality. Its 110 relevant current core
and configuration inputs were verified before each run. This oracle is distinct
from the GUI binary. Fixture admission and canonical lifecycle round-trip checks
predate the UI trial and retain their own scope in the archive.
Observed workflows
| Workflow | Observed result | Frames |
|---|---|---|
| Bound OA nested calls | Exposed outer shoulder selects C1; exact nested endpoint selects C2. Outer outline crosses caption bands continuously. Create capsule and Delete cross select the intended occurrence. | 02–06 |
| Self lifecycle | Action/Create spacing clears; Unicode/long text stays clipped to headers and capsule. Self-call activation and exact self-reply send point select different intended occurrences. | 08–10 |
| Death inside an alternative | Activation stops at the frame, terminates at branch death and has a separate open piece in its sibling. Selection does not fabricate continuous post-frame revival. | 11–13 |
| Bound SA nested calls | Same selection/paint behavior; Inspector retains synchronous Check pressure operation allocation and Pressure channel exchange. | 14–16 |
| Incomplete reply | Repair card replaces the missing-sender arrow. Its selection resolves to bound_5050; receiver bound_5001 and call correlation bound_5040 remain visible while Sender is unassigned. | 18–20 |
| Unresolved lifetime | Exclusive Create branch has local solid lifetime; sibling call keeps the uncertainty marks and unanswered cue without an invented activation rectangle. Exact call endpoint selects bound_6040. | 21–22 |
| Custom chooser and menu | Selected chooser row rule clears secondary text. Menu Properties and Open source have complete target outlines; Down moves the target and Enter opens the selected source declaration. Disabled counterpart action is visibly muted. | 17, 23–25 |
| Source and Inspector selection | Selected declaration, multiline source and selected Name field remain readable. These gestures leave the model unchanged. | 25–27, 34 |
| Minimum window | Native Size reaches a 1100×700 client. Fit at 60% shows the entire lifecycle; near-message selection and exposed C1 shoulder remain distinguishable with the precision limitation below. | 29–31 |
| Architecture and state | Performer/child, machine/region/state and selected action-row boundaries remain visible. State action selects relation delete_54 with its phase/source/target. | 32–36 |
| Process previews | OA and SA callers show ordinary/reference boundaries and separate inner preview boxes/edges. Selecting the first reference keeps its parent outline distinct. | 38–40 |
All five comparison commands exited 0, and every snapshotted file matched its baseline bytes: lifecycle after Save and after native reopen (four files each), compact architecture/state after Save (two files), and process topology after Save and after actual GUI exit (two files each). Reopen admitted the lifecycle's 61 objects, five links and 18 intentional checks. Compact and topology fixtures retain their own expected incomplete-model warnings. The topology after-close comparison confirms the settled saved state independently of the earlier asynchronous Save screenshot.
The independent review viewed all 41 original images and checked the fixture, comparison and closure bindings. It found no actionable mismatch within this scope. Its format addendum clarifies the image filename discrepancy without changing the frozen review.
Limits and follow-through
Fit is an overview: the activation's exposed shoulder is only a few pixels wide. At 60%, x507/y445 selected the lifeline and x509/y445 selected C1; the notes retain both observations. Text and markers are correspondingly small. At 100%, a scene larger than the minimum canvas clips and the accessible Fit control recovers the overview. No claim of comfortable precision editing at overview scale is made.
Source syntax remains largely monochrome, and the existing source reveal places the selected declaration at the bottom edge. In this pre-navigation build, clicking a process preview selects its containing reference occurrence. These observations belong to the separately tracked source/navigation work. The custom chooser's lower detail text remains cramped in its fixed popup; this trial checks the target cue, not complete chooser ergonomics. A right-click on a scenario arrow did not open a context menu; the tested menu was opened from the model tree.
The trial does not replace earlier editing/Delete/Undo evidence, execute disabled menu commands, establish every display's contrast, validate the isolated schema8 candidate, or accept the subsequent navigation union. The final combined Windows package still requires identified-source gates, native integration checks and fresh extracted-package launch. Linux/WSL remains deferred by the user.
