Native preparation static/syntax review — 2026-09-23
Reviewed only .local/state-bends-native-preparation-20260923. Candidate26979c109384add3e2a4bfd0092b8da1464e37a2 and active final-01 runner were read-only. No gate, probe, staging or GUI was executed.
Syntax: Python AST parsing passed stage.py and check.py, including after preparation repairs. PowerShell parser passed launch.ps1 and verify.ps1. capture.js was inspected statically; no JS execution/parser result is claimed.
Material preparation gap repaired: stage previously checked final source pin and summary pass but did not compare current raw source inventory with the gate's tested inventory. It now verifies the summary source-manifest hash, exact current raw inventory, six expected gate-step names, each raw result exit/pass/source-clean fields and every before/after inventory against the same baseline. Mandatory raw receipt coverage includes logs/results/contexts/patches, environment, relocation and original run.py. No existing gate files changed. README records admission requirements.
Copy binding repair: package, baseline and provenance copies now must match the initially admitted bytes/hash, as well as source-to-copy equality. They cannot silently adopt changed input bytes between initial admission verification and copying. Raw receipts remain unchanged and nested historical target paths remain documentary, not live immutable bindings.
Oracle review: original attachment_snapshot B has actual JSON Right0.5/Left0.6, waypoint500,310 and label fraction0.5/offset8,-16; exact sentinels are correct. Parent's probe source correction serializes typed Project before embedding it in Value, preserving the same canonical f32 rendering. check.py compares complete JSON Project through sorted canonical encoding, retains Python integer precision and disallows NaN; it does not ignore other views or semantic fields. Expectations are prelaunch copies of B changing only waypoint vectors. Candidate-built probe validates all expected Projects/routes before freezing, while candidate evaluator parses saved source for comparison. Shared core validation is acknowledged, not presented as independent proof of the router.
Arithmetic review: longest interior segment uses Manhattan length and last-index tie break matching the declared menu behavior. Independent insertion uses preceding arclength and baseline pin fractions; ambiguous near-equal fractions fail. Additional conservative guards now require orthogonal spans and exactly f32-representable span/cumulative lengths; midpoint A must also be exactly representable. This avoids a Python64 versus Rust32 rounding choice becoming an oracle allowance. These guards may reject an unexpected baseline geometry for review; they never adapt the oracle after native input. M520,370 is exactly representable. Actual A/k remain uncomputed until authorized staging.
Compatibility: final.py summary exposes source_commit/passed/inputs_unchanged/outputs plus source_manifest/environment/relocation and six steps expected by stage.py. Final gate outputs are preserved records; stage matches all three executable hashes and admitted LLVM runtime, excludes live target inputs and copies the raw records. Parent must supply the complete raw receipt list including run.py; the active attempt has not been read as a passed result.
Process/capture binding: launch verifies staged manifest and all immutable inputs before launch, uses a child-only private LOCALAPPDATA and package/System32 PATH, records PID/start and working-source bytes, chains repeated runs to prior successful close, and verifies immutable files on exit. Exit receipt proves observed process exit, not close cause. Capture derives its own root from module URL and binds images to current launch/manifest/working hash; caller remains responsible for fresh actual Sky state and correct window identity. No native held-preview, Escape or wheel success is inferred from these recipes.
No remaining verified blocking preparation issue found after these limited repairs. Successful final gate, parent admission review, actual staged numerical catalog review and native execution remain required.
