WSL setup and preparation evidence
Owner: Codex-9e8r6t /root/linux_readiness. See current readiness report.
setup-through-1457.zip preserves 28 selected original setup records: capacity
audit and nondeleting compression, official-image hash, successful supported
Ubuntu 26.04 WSL2 installation/root shell, failed mirrored networking, exact
user-directed configuration changes, and the first VirtioProxy CreateVm timeout.
It does not contain downloaded packages, distro images, credentials or VPN
configuration. Host/guest route and systemd diagnostics are evidence of those
bounded failed trials; they do not establish their cause.
preparation-through-1503.zip preserves 13 later records: the second
pre-guest timeout after the Windows compiler cleared, official Rust manifest
and five verified native component receipts, official Ubuntu signed InRelease
and 60 verified package receipts, plus exact download helpers and failed
attempts. The second timeout's terminal text is explicitly transcribed without
PTY screen escapes; it is not a guest log. Ubuntu metadata signature validation
in the guest and all package installation remain pending.
service-reset-1505.zip preserves the later distinct WslService-only reset
attempt. No running distro/client was observed; reading Hyper-V Compute events
required elevation and restarting WslService failed on service access. It
remained Running. No elevation workaround or additional guest launch followed.
Adjacent JSON manifests record every uncompressed entry's byte count/SHA256 and the archive checksum. All three archives were read back and compared entry by entry. The private package blobs and full images remain outside Git. Downloads alone are not proof of toolchain installation, Linux compilation or runtime acceptance.
