Maintained by Codex /root. Updated 2026-09-10.
Maintained by the cooperating Codex agents. Current entrypoint refreshed by Codex-ytr83r /root on 2026-09-11. The full first release remains unfinished.

Commit: `e2ecfea69b61489b6d3f35576cddf8491515bafe` — Checkpoint source 7 workflows and in-progress diagram authoring redesign.
- [Windows Studio and REST server authoring preview](../releases/tag/v0.2.0-preview.authoring.20260911): named authoring milestone, development build, scoped native and package checks.
- [Standalone Windows source CLI preview](../releases/tag/cli-v0.2.0-preview.authoring.20260911): independent command-line authoring package.
Both GitLab `origin` and Gitea `gitea` were pushed and independently read back at this exact commit. The local working tree was clean. This checkpoint contains 162 changed files, including AGENTS.md, DEVELOPMENT_SUMMARY.md, source7 implementation, regression fixtures, documentation and validation records. Ignored build/runtime artifacts remain local. Exact bytes of 15 source/recovery fixture files were checked against the staged blobs; basic-editing fixtures now explicitly disable newline conversion.
Both are published prereleases. Use their launch instructions, validation attachments and stated limitations; they do not establish acceptance of newer source. Current lifecycle rendering, contextual prerequisites, chooser, analysis/libraries and Linux delivery have separate gates.
This is work in progress, not an accepted release. The newer compact-palette code has two known compilation errors: ambiguous `column!` at `crates/oa-desktop/src/app/architecture_authoring/palette.rs:168`, and moving a view out of Arc at `crates/oa-desktop/src/diagram.rs:624`. The earlier 584-test desktop/build/Clippy pass predates this redesign. Full current native Windows/Linux acceptance remains outstanding.
## Current work and ownership
## Architecture and product direction
Coordinate through [issue 1](../issues/1) before changing shared work. [Issue 2](../issues/2) requires consistent direct process/scenario canvas interaction while preserving domain constraints.
Three Rust crates share one authoritative typed Project and validated atomic Command boundary: `oa-core` owns semantics, source, history and persistence; `oa-desktop` owns Iced views and guarded raw drafts; `oa-server` owns REST and conditional ETag storage. Keep semantic ownership, allocation and diagram placement distinct. Preserve graphical/source/REST parity and existing branch integration.
| Owner | Current responsibility and handoff |

| Codex-9e8r6t | [Named authoring](Authoring20260911), [contextual prerequisite creation](ContextualSourceDrafts20260911), and the published Studio/CLI milestones |

| Codex-956atf | [Behavior and chooser integration](BehaviorAuthoring20260911), shared canvas design, [analysis/library contracts](LibraryCompatibility20260911) |

| Codex-ytr83r | [Scenario lifetime rendering](ScenarioLifetimeRendering), current Windows integration/tests/native acceptance, [Linux host investigation](LinuxHostYtr83r20260911) |

The user prioritizes basic diagram editing and understandable OA/SA transitions. Large horizontal creation buttons were rejected. Actual installed Capella 7.1 informed the current compact expandable palette, tool → point → inline name creation, F2 rename and explicit participant activity/function allocation. Native observations and acceptance criteria are in `harness/release-capella-basic-editing-20260907.md`.
Names describe current coordination, not permanent ownership. Confirm the exact source checkpoint, active lease and binary evidence in issues before integration. Read-only source review, compiled tests, native observation and package acceptance remain distinct.
## Setup and authoritative handoff
## Architecture and authoritative guidance
Read repository `AGENTS.md` and Gitea issues before changing shared work. Read `harness/STATE.md`, `harness/PLAN.md`, `harness/TASK_LEDGER.md` and `harness/DECISIONS.md` for scoped evidence and outstanding work. `DEVELOPMENT_SUMMARY.md` summarizes the whole development run. Repository README contains build/run setup; `docs/language.rst` and `docs/api.rst` define the shared contracts.
Four Rust crates share one authoritative typed Project and validated atomic Commands: oa-core owns semantics, source, history and persistence; oa-desktop owns Iced views and guarded drafts; oa-server provides REST and conditional ETag storage; oa-cli provides source authoring commands. Preserve graphical/textual/REST parity and keep semantic ownership, allocation, ordering and visual placement distinct.
On the existing Windows development machine, `.local/toolchain/env.ps1` selects the local GNU/LLVM Rust toolchain; use `CARGO_BUILD_JOBS=1` and serialize Cargo jobs. `.local` is ignored and is not supplied by this commit. Fresh checkouts must follow README toolchain setup. Typical commands are `cargo build --locked --workspace --bins` and `cargo test --locked -p oa-desktop --bin arcadia-studio -- --test-threads=1`, after fixing the known compilation errors.
Start with [AGENTS.md](../src/branch/codex/release1-ytr83r/AGENTS.md), the [full user goal](../src/branch/codex/release1-ytr83r/PROJECT_GOAL.md), and the [concise harness index](../src/branch/codex/release1-ytr83r/harness/README.md). The index links current status, plan, decisions and source/host-specific evidence. The repository [README](../src/branch/codex/release1-ytr83r/README.md) describes build/run setup; [language](../src/branch/codex/release1-ytr83r/docs/language.rst) and [API](../src/branch/codex/release1-ytr83r/docs/api.rst) documents define shared contracts.
Next: fix compilation, finish targeted and full relevant gates, exercise actual palette/inline editing/cancellation/allocation and layer transitions at wide/minimum window sizes, synchronize guide/generated docs, and package a verified preview. Track coordination and results in issue #1. No other local subagent was active during this checkpoint; do not infer future ownership from this note.
Fresh checkouts must follow the documented toolchain setup. Ignored .local directories are host-specific and not distributed. Current Windows Cargo work is serialized with one build job; local compilation does not replace real Windows/Linux application acceptance.
## Preserved history
The [previous Home page](../src/commit/b96286e/harness/history/2026-09-11-ytr83r-integration/wiki-home-20260910.md) is preserved byte-for-byte, including its 2026-09-10 source-specific failures and handoff. Those old compile errors are historical, not current instructions. Earlier ledger archives remain linked from the harness index.
