Checks at startup + every 24h, downloads silently, and the renderer shows a Restart banner once the update is staged (it installs on quit either way). Manual "Check for Updates..." under the app menu answers via dialog. Every updater event routes through the shell log and is caught - the updater can never take the app down (verified live: a feed failure logs three lines and the app runs on). LH_UPDATE_FEED overrides the baked GitHub feed with a generic local server - the pre-release drill: serve latest-mac.yml + zip + blockmap from localhost and a real installed copy updates itself, no release, no public repo. The asar allow-list re-includes electron-updater + its 16-package runtime tree explicitly (gitignore last-match-wins; asar verified at 2.1 MB). The banner rides the preload bridge (onUpdateStatus/installUpdate) and renders nothing in the browser. window.lh typing centralized in sidebar.tsx's declaration.	2026-10-10 14:11:19 +03:00
amosblomqvist	6b58d87d9e	electron+tests: zoom plumbing (construction-only lights), hermeticity fence for the jobs suite ... - ZOOM: the ⌘±/⌘0 ladder is owned, not stock roles — applyZoom sets the factor and broadcasts 'lh:zoom'; the renderer publishes --lh-zoom; the gutter lengths (.lh-lights-gutter / .lh-closed-toggle) divide by it so their RENDERED size is a physical constant at every zoom — the graph button stays glued next to the lights, nothing slides under them. before-input-event catches ⌘=/layout variants the menu's Plus may not claim; did-finish-load re-pushes on reload; getZoom covers first paint. The lights themselves stay at construction position — Electron 44 has NO setTrafficLightPosition (options-only; the first run crashed on it). HIG-acceptable: native lights hug the corner; the web chrome compensates around them. - JOBS SUITE FLAKE, actually fixed this time: the seams are module-global and the sweep scans every record — a timed-out async test left a running orphan + late wake that poisoned its NEIGHBORS (respawned 3 !== 0). New afterEach fence: settle every tracked running job, unregister aborts, seams reset to inert no-ops — every test starts from identical state regardless of upstream flake. Verified: two consecutive full-suite runs 1326/1326.	2026-10-05 05:42:27 +03:00
amosblomqvist	d46c3dae93	feat: narrow-window behavior — sidebar auto-close, chrome wrap, 640px floor ... The sidebar no longer squeezes the page when the window narrows; the page itself never goes below a comfortable floor (owner decisions, 2026-09-17: 640px min, widen-window on toggle, auto-restore): - minWidth 640 / minHeight 600 on the BrowserWindow (macOS enforces) - Below SIDEBAR_AUTOCLOSE (928 = 640 + 288 sidebar) the sidebar auto-closes, and auto-RESTORES when the window widens past it again — both fall out of one expression: rendered = pref && !narrow, where pref is the persisted user choice. Manual closes persist and stay closed; auto-close never touches the preference. - Opening the sidebar while narrow asks the shell to widen the window to 928 first (new lh:expand-window IPC, preload.cjs contextBridge — the renderer's first and only Electron bridge): the toggle is never a dead button, and the layout never has to survive narrow + sidebar. In the plain browser there is no suppression and no widening — a narrow tab opens the sidebar if the user says so. - Graph chrome row wraps: max-w-[calc(100%-9rem)] + flex-wrap keeps the row clear of the header toggle cluster and stacks it onto extra lines below ~640px instead of overflowing left. State machine verified in the Electron dev shell across all six transitions (auto-close, auto-restore, manual-close-persists, reopen-widens, browser fallback, wrap at 640/500/360).	2026-09-17 18:57:02 +03:00
