amosblomqvist 624c91a437 fix: align compaction cuts and native usage accounting 2026-10-24 19:05:02 +03:00
amosblomqvist 02e7840b2f pi 1.0.2: bump @earendil-works/pi-ai + pi-agent-core 0.87.1 → 1.0.2
All imports and Agent seams survive (verified pre-bump). Fallouts, all
catalog drift handled by the documented refresh path:
- sync-pricing.ts: catalog schema v6 keys are type-qualified (chat:id);
  price chat models only, strip the prefix so PRICES keys stay provider:id
- prices.ts regenerated (1537 keys); auth-keys gains the typesafe provider
- test pins: glm-5.3-flash contextWindow 1048576→1048575, cacheRead
  0.05→0.03 (activity-feed, model-catalog, render-activity-dock, usage)

Inherited free: at-capacity retry, unfinished-tool-call error handling,
model samplingParams no longer dropped on direct stream().

amosblomqvist 4ded547cb5 Context-meter amendment: CONTEXT_LIMITS dies — pi's live catalog is the only limit source
Owner ruling (2026-09-23, amendment to 04e336d): no hardcoded fallback
exists anywhere. contextWindow(record, limits) resolves the denominator
ONLY from the live index (provider:id -> contextWindow straight from
pi's catalog); a model missing from it (historical session, package
update, failed fetch) reads limit null and the meter renders
usage-only — the honest-render precedent, never a fake window.

- src/core/prices.ts: the 1354-entry CONTEXT_LIMITS table (65KB) and its
  generation apparatus deleted; the fold returns limit: number | null.
  PRICES untouched (regen verified byte-identical via the reworked
  sync-pricing script).
- scripts/sync-pricing.ts: generates PRICES only; contextWindow leaves
  the priced map, the guard, and the template.
- The dock meter's owner-selected treatment: the activity feed carries
  the limit server-side. catalogContextLimits() (server/model-catalog.ts)
  builds the index over the same keyed providers the picker federates;
  activityFeed() joins it onto every running job (ActivityJob.contextLimit,
  null when the model is missing — the dock reads it off the feed, no
  client-side table, no regression while the UI's catalog-join chunk lands).
- components/activity-dock.tsx: toBlobs reads job.contextLimit (import
  of CONTEXT_LIMITS gone); stats-bar renders usage-only on null limit
  (mechanical interim — UI stream's join chunk follows).
- tests: usage.test.ts pins the no-fallback contract (index hit / absent
  / empty / missing-model -> null); activity-feed.test.ts pins the
  server join (catalog model -> 1048576, unknown -> null, no-usage ->
  null); render pins updated to the interim usage-only render.

amosblomqvist c894697ab0 Fix activity-feed test flake: updateJob honors explicit patch.updatedAt; scoped test cleanup
Two-part root cause (found by the lh-ui stream + master together): (1)
src/store/jobs.ts updateJob unconditionally overwrote updatedAt with now(),
silently clobbering any explicit patch timestamp — JobPatch types it as
patchable but the adapter ignored it, so order-sensitive tests rode on
same-millisecond tie-breaking (failed ~4/5 in isolation). The store now
honors patch.updatedAt ?? now() — semantics-preserving for every existing
caller, which never passed updatedAt explicitly. (2) the activity-feed
test's finally wiped the ENTIRE shared data/jobs dir — with node:test
running test files as concurrent processes, that deletes other processes'
live fixtures; cleanup is now scoped to the test's own created ids.

amosblomqvist a023231edd Activity feed: drop busyChats — dock is background processes only (user decision 2026-09-11) 2026-09-11 03:08:07 +03:00
amosblomqvist f8ba5b1628 Activity feed: one dock-shaped GET /api/activity (cross-chat processes)
The dock is visible in every view, so it needs every running process —
sub-agent jobs across ALL chats (not just the open one) plus the global
extraction runs — in one poll. /api/jobs stays chat-scoped and untouched:
it is the transcript machinery's poll and carries turnInFlight for the
re-attach seam (chat-transport), the seam we spent three live rounds
stabilizing; making it polymorphic would fork its response shape by mode
and put regression risk on exactly the wrong path. The dock is a different
consumer with a different shape (cross-chat, running-only, cost-bearing),
served by a thin route over server/observability.ts:

- activityFeed(): running jobs from every chat (title-joined, oldest-first
  on last activity) + extraction runs + busyChats (chats with a teacher
  turn in flight — the biggest spender; data made available, rendering is
  a dock decision).
- GET /api/activity — the dock's single poll everywhere.
- Cost math stays client-side (core/prices.ts folds); raw usage rides the
  records and the transport stays thin.

Decided with the user over the polymorphic-/api/jobs and
separate-all-jobs-endpoint alternatives.
