At the moment, the textual model have stuff like 'description ""', 'parent none' and similar. Writing this stuff explicitly is unnecessary and create visual noise and cognitive load. Maybe, a good approach would be removing the requirement to specify this stuff explicity
This is a part of #1
Codex-9e8r6t /root claims the redundant-default source-authoring outcome. Initial scope is a precise omission/formatting contract and implementation boundary, based on published source9fd76aef3ae2810667d3f2b031fc43692fc04c89 on codex/text-diagnostics-9e8r6t. Current inspection confirms description and document-level parent are already optional on input, while canonical flat/modular writers still emit empty descriptions and null parents; related typed defaults need an explicit inventory before changing output.
Acceptance: users can author and generate readable minimal source without meaningless default fields; non-default and semantically required values, identities and relationships survive exact model round trips; no-op/unrelated lossless edits retain authored source; flat/modular output and the reST contract agree. Required constructor fields must not be dropped merely because their values look empty, zero or false. I will reconcile serializer/spec boundaries with the source8/analysis work before implementation. #12 canonical inputs remain frozen during its outstanding native acceptance; initial #11 work is independent read-only design, with review artifacts published before peer consumption.
Codex-9e8r6t /root published a reviewed design candidate at
74cc0e0911on codex/text-diagnostics-9e8r6t: http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/74cc0e09119f9fa9e1287988bdd98c4cbf9db79e/harness/text-default-omission-design-20260913.md . The linked independent static critique is included; both findings are incorporated. No production/parser changes or #11 runtime acceptance yet.Parser already accepts the reported empty-description/root-parent omissions. The candidate inventories broader declaration/constructor defaults and rejects generic empty/none/false/zero pruning. It distinguishes source defaults from graphical factories (notably Scenario MixedLegacy), required nested slots, optional intent and signed-zero fidelity. Canonical/new fragments should be compact, but lossless comparison must structurally include all admitted default slots, including currently serde-skipped operation/port_anchors/semantic. Unrelated sibling payload edits are the discriminating preservation witness; pure Rename short-circuits equal fields and would miss the bug. Parent verified these source branches after independent criticism.
Next: coordinate the public source/lossless boundaries with #7 against its named fetched commits, settle compatible implementation scope, then implement targeted round-trip/lossless evaluators on a distinct work branch. Candidate remains proposed and source8 integration remains unverified; no peer-owned analysis writer changes or language admission expansion are implied. #12 frozen production and corrected native evidence are now published separately at3236871.
Codex-9e8r6t /root implementation-preparation checkpoint: created local worktree for remote branch codex/text-defaults-9e8r6t from published74cc0e0, keeping #12 branch frozen. First bounded outcome is empirical lossless preservation witnesses against unchanged production9fd: explicit operation none, port_anchors [], and semantic none under sibling payload edits, with no-op/Rename controls and exact source/model assertions. Tests/probes use a new non-overlapping file; no public formatter/source_project or peer analysis files change until the #7 boundary is reconciled. This is local-only until publication. Acceptance of this step is discriminating runtime evidence that confirms or falsifies the reviewed risk, not a claim that default omission is implemented.
Codex-9e8r6t /root published the independently reviewed preservation baseline at
595cad4790on codex/text-defaults-9e8r6t. Entry: http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/595cad479045898a5ba521b0cb0e80132726873a/harness/text-default-omission-baseline-20260913.md . Exact remote ref and report/archive manifest blobs confirmed. Production source remains9fd76ae; only tests/docs/evidence and scoped byte-preservation attributes changed.Actual corrected Windows baseline: 8 passed / 3 failed, all 11 explicitly executed with --include-ignored. Three real sibling edits return the complete expected Project but erase unrelated authored operation none, node port_anchors [], or TraceBaseline semantic none. Six no-op/header controls and two constructor/context controls pass. The initial 7/4 run is preserved: its fourth failure was an invalid BoundaryExchange test fixture, not a production defect. Independent review corrected that fixture and two over-specific default-presence assertions; final review has no remaining test-contract findings. Desired-preservation witnesses remain deliberately ignored by default with explicit defect reasons until a real fix passes them; this is not a green-suite or #11-completion claim.
Portable18-file archive includes both 605-input source captures, raw logs/receipts, original runner, independent reviews and read-only verifier. Parent verified623 staged blobs and all archive pins; captures differ only in the test file. Shared public formatter/source_project production remains untouched pending the #7 interface boundary requested in comment924. Next work is the source-context default/required-field authoring matrix and reconciliation before shared production edits. Full release incomplete; Linux remains user-paused.
Codex-9e8r6t /root second published checkpoint:
136917b47eon codex/text-defaults-9e8r6t, report http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/136917b47e50f7c07da975b93f879493cab81e21/harness/text-default-omission-admission-20260913.md . Exact remote ref and report/manifest blobs read back. Windows source7 OA/SA nested-admission tests: 10 passed, 0 failed/ignored; 44 accepted authored evaluations and 14 specific refusals. Complete literal Project and unchanged SourceBundle comparisons confirm optional Integer/Real bounds, String maximum, Record supertype and Legacy interface omissions. String minimum, Enumeration literals, Legacy direction and explicit port contract remain required; an explicit zero bound differs from absence.Production remains unchanged. The separate three source-preservation defects remain failing; no compact writer/full-suite acceptance. Twelve-file portable archive pins all606 inputs, raw gate/receipts, independent review, exact runner and verifier; parent verified618 staged blobs. It also includes a proposed precise clarification for the misleading DataTypeDefinition Required fields column and Legacy interface omission. This is not yet applied to the normative reference: shared formatter/spec integration still needs the named #7 boundary. Coverage limits (whole-definition absence/Legacy record requirement code-inspected, no source8/older-version/boundary coverage) are explicit. Branch is clean and published; no local-only implementation remains. Next useful independent work is broader ordinary-declaration omission/fidelity coverage while shared ownership is reconciled. Linux stays paused.
Codex-9e8r6t /root resuming at published136917b; branch clean, remote main AGENTS blob767be18f still matches. The prior checkpoint is progress (reviewed/published preservation and admission evidence), not a wait or completion. No #7 public-wiring boundary reply is present in the current comments.
Next bounded non-overlapping outcome: implement and exercise an isolated typed omission policy prototype under harness/prototypes with a new core integration test that includes it. This will establish the complete-comparison restoration and context-specific compact-field rules against handwritten oracles before shared formatter/source_project wiring. It will not modify those shared production files or the peer analysis writer; no public behavior change will be claimed. Acceptance: all inventoried ordinary contexts preserve required/nondefault distinctions, unchanged explicit skipped fields remain represented for comparison, signed zero is retained, and the policy can be consumed through a small named interface rather than a blanket recursive prune. Parent owns synthesis, compiled tests, fresh review and publication; remaining broader GUI/API/full-release gates remain required.
Codex-9e8r6t /root published isolated policy implementation
6f2aae0f76on codex/text-defaults-9e8r6t. Report/interface: http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/6f2aae0f76708e0d4ace1cd66ea019c07d3299df/harness/text-default-omission-policy-20260913.md . Exact remote ref and report/manifest blobs verified. Production remains unchanged; harness/prototypes/source-defaults-20260913.rs is directly compiled only by the new policy integration test.Small interface fields(Context, &Map, Mode) covers ordinary source7 declaration fields. CompleteForEdit restores only applicable current serde skips; Compact uses explicit source-context defaults and typed nested rules, preserving required payloads, flat parents, unknown fields, present empty/unresolved values, historical content and signed coordinate zero. It does not hydrate arbitrary partial maps or traverse source8 analysis. Source-default extraction sharing and actual public writer/update integration remain necessary.
Initial16 tests and strict targeted Clippy passed. Fresh critic found no blocking code/oracle defect, but requested nested unknown/ambiguous-wrapper coverage; two added tests pass, final18PASS and strict targeted ClippyPASS. Prototype unchanged between iterations. All39 element kinds/25 relation kinds have common-field checks; literal-map tests are not model/parser admission claims. Thirty-file portable archive preserves four closed608-input gates and reviews; parent verified638 staged blobs, all raw pins and test/lint input identity. Capture explicitly includes the compiled harness prototype. Branch clean/published. Three production preservation regressions remain failing; #11/full-release not complete. Next gate is real serialization/parser fidelity and shared source8 wiring reconciliation, followed by compact output/lossless/GUI/API acceptance. Linux paused.
Codex-9e8r6t /root published real-model fidelity checkpoint
2a64344b92on codex/text-defaults-9e8r6t. Report: http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/2a64344b929077c873cb81c4f0b36c6bb3ae1ffe/harness/text-default-omission-fidelity-20260913.md . Nine tests and strict targeted Clippy pass on Windows; 610 unchanged inputs, portable 17-file archive verified, 627 staged blobs checked against executed inputs/archive. Independent review found no blocking adapter/oracle defect. Five frozen migrated models shrink20–33%; full model/signed-zero/optional-empty/history/operation-intent round trips pass. This is canonical-span experiment evidence only, not production editing/modular export acceptance. #7 ownership partition confirmed comment949/ack951; proceeding with ordinary source-default/parser construction and CompleteForEdit-versus-Compact public formatter/update integration. Three authored-source erasure witnesses remain required; Linux user-paused. No issue closure/release claim.Codex-9e8r6t /root published production checkpoint
adffd19bbcon codex/text-defaults-9e8r6t. This is not integration or release acceptance.Report and portable evidence: http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/adffd19bbcf55c7cbfbf7a3937629db4c593e387/harness/text-default-omission-production-20260913.md
The ordinary parser and formatter now share source defaults. Flat and modular exports omit redundant fields; complete edit comparison preserves unchanged explicit defaults. Independent review found a header-context omission bug, which was corrected.
Verification:
The private 22-test policy/parser suite, remaining core targets, strict production Clippy, native/public-consumer checks and release verification remain. The proposed span-based insertion metadata improvement is unapplied.
Source and evidence were pushed and read back successfully; the worktree is clean. About 8 MB remains free. Automatic approval review rejected duplicate-capture deletion despite user authorization; no files were deleted. A local manual cleanup script identifies retired build artifacts for the user. Linux remains user-paused. I retain ownership and will resume verification after space recovery; issue 11 and the release objective remain open.
Codex-9e8r6t /root published reviewed follow-up
7bb366f66aon codex/text-defaults-9e8r6t. Remote head readback confirmed; worktree clean. Report: http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/7bb366f66a8c6f8b6f66fc9b04c9e3b39f84b78e/harness/text-default-omission-followup-20260913.mdInsertion metadata now borrows the existing compact source and stores spans instead of copying each enclosing value. Language tests now check External/MixedLegacy omission while retaining model/legacy oracles; invalid mutations use unique anchors and assert an actual change. Independent static review found no blocking defect; reviewed file hashes, reasoning and limitations are in the report. Targeted rustfmt and diff whitespace checks passed. No compilation/runtime evidence is claimed for these changes, and previous captures do not cover this follow-up.
The user ran the manual cleanup script, exposing my timezone bug in its timestamp guard: a parsed Z timestamp became Local before comparison with file UTC. One retired artifact was removed before the script stopped. The local script now explicitly converts the cutoff to UTC; all remaining targets pass read-only timestamp preflight. Awaiting the user's rerun before Cargo verification. No agent deletion retry occurred. Linux remains paused. Ownership and outstanding acceptance remain unchanged.
Codex-9e8r6t /root completed a bounded static consumer-coverage audit at published
7bb366f. No code changed or tests ran. Desktop initialization and server creation use format_bundle; desktop/CLI alias edits/server commands use the identity-aware updater. Server GET /source canonically formats the model, while GET /source-project returns the authored bundle. The audit identified one specific remaining consumer assertion: import authored port_anchors [] with a comment, move the node through an HTTP transaction, verify that field/comment survives restart, and separately verify GET /source omits empty anchors. Core preservation/output tests cover each semantic rule, but the existing consumer tests do not jointly assert this public endpoint distinction. Add and execute that bounded witness after disk recovery rather than infer endpoint acceptance from core passes.
Existing relevant gates to reuse after core: oa-server --test http filters batches_dry_run_noop_and_source_share_the_core, source_projects_model_interchange_and_transitions_keep_authored_modules, port_anchor_http_commands_and_source_edits_preserve_per_view_state_after_restart; oa-cli --test source_cli covers preview/write fixed point, CRLF/comment/no-op preservation and cross-module alias identity; desktop tests creation_selects_the_single_uuid_persisted_in_source and two_file_apply_graphical_edit_exact_undo_save_as_and_reopen. These are automated workflow checks, not native visual acceptance.
C: remains about 100 MiB free with no active build. The corrected cleanup script's remaining targets are still present. Compilation remains pending the user's manual rerun; Linux remains paused.
Codex-9e8r6t /root recovered disk space after the user's manual cleanup and resumed verification of published
7bb366f66aon Windows GNU LLVM Rust 1.98.1.Closed production-followup-1: 180 passed, 0 failed, 0 ignored, covering the entire core library test target (including the 22 defaults tests), language, port_anchors, source_project and the five default-omission integration targets. Closed production-core-2: full cargo test --locked --offline -p oa-core --no-fail-fast --message-format=json -- --nocapture passed 511 tests, 0 failed, 1 ignored. Both captured the same 613 unchanged inputs, manifest SHA256 b9a161be8aca264a6dcf4e7df5cbb7a4f9d999411f1da97430ec0eb3a9929566. The corrected port-anchor re-add path and language mutations have now executed successfully. Raw captures are local-only pending the next portable evidence publication; no external availability is implied.
The bounded HTTP authored-default-versus-canonical-export witness has independent static review and is applied locally but not yet compiled. No production code changed after the successful core run. User requested a larger manual cleanup script; its exact hash allowlist excludes all verified executables from both core gates. Consumer tests, strict production Clippy, native review and integration remain pending. Linux remains paused; issue remains open.

Executed source is
7bb366f. Four-file portable package preserves 13 original payloads, two identical 613-input captures and a read-only verifier. Parent verified all 613 executed input blobs plus 4 archive files against the Git index. Independent review confirmed counts, scope, pins and exclusion of the new uncompiled HTTP test; no blocking finding. Archive ZIP SHA256 7f6bd834a87724db23c94ccc7f28d940c444e86d3b554f9b03aa6ab60ad38e5a.Only the locally applied HTTP witness remains uncommitted; no production source differs from the successful core run. Strict production Clippy, server/CLI/desktop consumer execution and native GUI acceptance remain next. Larger user-run cleanup script is ready and preview-verified for 3.00 GiB; no build is active while the user has that cleanup window. Linux remains paused, and no integration/release acceptance is claimed.

Closed Windows gates: 12 CLI + 51 HTTP passed; desktop 894 passed, 0 failed, 6 existing opt-in probes ignored; strict workspace/all-target Clippy with -D warnings passed; desktop/CLI/server binaries built. All four captured 613 unchanged inputs at HEAD
df2e1cdplus the now-published HTTP test. That test is the only input difference from the preceding 511-pass core run; production code is unchanged.Portable archive retains 19 original payloads, shared byte-identical source ZIP/manifest, raw streams and receipts. ZIP SHA256 43d3483eab331b98516d2ab8969a634c7c714fb827df1acfe972dd094923a9fb. Parent verified 613 executed source blobs and 4 archive files against the index. Independent review found and corrected imprecise HEAD-only wording; no substantive finding remained. Targeted rustfmt, staged whitespace and read-only archive verifier passed. Expected Windows storage-refusal logs are explained in the report.
Native trial 1 remains local-only and partial: actual matching GUI created a compact activity, preserved the original explicit empty field/comment, saved the exact expected two-file bundle, and exited normally with empty stderr. Drag, model Undo/Redo and reopen remain unexecuted natively. User has a verified 3.00 GiB manual cleanup script; GUI and builds are stopped for that cleanup window. Exact persisted two-file oracles passed: creation adds only the expected include/declaration, and movement changes only x120.0 to190.0 while retaining the authored explicit empty port_anchors field, spacing, comment and stable IDs. Both saved bundles passed the verified CLI with4 expected draft warnings, no errors/stabilization/source changes. Intermediate Undo is visually observed, not a new full native in-memory equality claim.
Portable four-file package contains160 original payloads plus manifest and613 captured build inputs. ZIP SHA256 0eb6f2a566deff1275b19b8c5718ebb56f9afde0518ac65c09d885a1d6e84d68 (5,251,658 bytes). Independent review inspected14 key frames, independently checked saved bytes/receipts, ran the verifier, and compared all160 payloads to raw evidence; no actionable finding. Parent verified613 executed inputs and4 archive files against staged blobs; verifier and whitespace checks passed. No production source changed from7bb366f; prior published full-core511, consumer63, desktop894 and strict Clippy evidence remains applicable to this candidate.
Ordinary contribution is ready for integration review from this named commit; source8 composition and combined acceptance remain under issue7 and release owner issue27. I read the owner’s explicit stop handoff977 and do not assume that machine is running. The issue remains open pending appropriate integration; no release or full OA/SA acceptance is claimed. Linux remains user-paused. Local cleanup recovered space and native work is now closed; no compiler/GUI/helper remains owned by these trials.
Codex-9e8r6t /root extends the ordinary contribution with an isolated compatibility candidate on codex/ordinary-text-union-9e8r6t. Scope: apply only the 14-file net ordinary-source change from
74cc0e0to published3d06704onto the fetched published Text/root candidate136ed6e586. This is a proposal branch for the release owner, not a merge into their branch or replacement of their stopped work.Initial exact Git-blob comparison: 13 of 14 preimages match (including seven paths absent on both bases). The remaining lib.rs difference is the root's independent
pub mod analysis_numeric;declaration; preserve it alongside the ordinarymod source_defaults;addition. No other code or source8 ownership is included. Acceptance: exact scoped composition, fresh independent seam review, identified combined-input capture and appropriate Windows runtime gates; do not reuse the earlier ordinary-only counts as combined acceptance. Release coordination and final integration remain with issue 27 / Codex-956atf. Their explicit stopped handoff 977 remains respected.Codex-9e8r6t /root published the isolated ordinary/Text compatibility checkpoint

Follow-upe624d5bimports the normative compact-source contract and repairs the discovered generated teaching fixture dependency: 29 source files lose514 default lines; root source, four JSON files and all68 historical baseline blocks stay exact. Strict doc generation also repairs a preexisting heading underline and refreshes stale HTML. Independent code/fixture/docs reviews accepted the result.Closed Windows evidence: initial offline dependency miss resolved by locked Windows-target fetch; full core536 passed/1 failed/1 ignored (sole stale generated example); regenerated teaching rerun4 passed; CLI12+HTTP51 passed; strict language rendering passed. Independent verifier/raw payload audit passed. A publication newline-pin issue in intermediate96b756b was corrected forward in cb94136; the exact committed five-file export now verifies, so consumecb94136.Desktop listing subsequently closed0 at unchanged e624 inputs with1185 actual tests; admission reconciliation and execution are still pending and not part of the published package. Full core rerun on final fixture/docs inputs is now running locally. Strict workspace Clippy, matching binaries and combined native acceptance remain outstanding. No integration-owner takeover, source8 acceptance, issue closure or release claim. Linux remains user-paused.

Independent admission checked all 150 critical declarations and 24 source bindings. CLI12+HTTP51 and strict language rendering remain passed on the same captured707 inputs. Strict all-target Clippy exposed two small desktop cleanups: unchanged helper placement and obsolete SymbolEvent::Close. Reviewed commit

Strict Clippy then passed; affected desktop recheck83 passed/0 failed/1 existing ignored on final f714 inputs, and matching GUI/CLI/server built. Prior full suites and subsequent four-file input delta are explicitly distinguished in the report.Fresh combined native trial completed create compact included activity, preserve explicit empty port_anchors/spacing/comment, graphical move, model Undo/Redo, Save As twice, New and reopen. Fresh warning navigation selected the included declaration; inserting a comment cleared old warning rows/underlines, Apply refreshed line2 to line3 and navigation selected that line, then model Undo restored saved state. Both exact two-file saved-source oracles and matching CLI checks passed; only intended x120-to-x190 change, stable IDs, four expected modeling warnings, no errors/writes. No full native in-memory Project equality or replayed stale-event claim.

Run each adjacent verify.py with Python3.10+ standard library. Independent native review inspected25 frames and reconstructed saved-byte/receipt oracles; separate package audit checked every raw payload and accepted. Exact staged exports verified and committed blobs matched, including LF/hash pins. One evidence-attribution wording finding was corrected. No owned GUI/compiler remains.
