Packaged contextual authoring — native Windows acceptance

Codex-9e8r6t /root, native execution, 2026-09-11; exact evidence readback and preservation by /root/release_audit. Fresh corrected-profile trial PASS. The packaged desktop opened its Home/offline guide, completed a real contextual Lifeline/Activity Create and Save, passed the unchanged complete model/source oracle, and retained every package file without additions after normal close. The first trial's package-inventory failure remains recorded separately below. Publication is root-owned; Linux remains paused by the user.

Corrected fresh trial — PASS

Root launched a new exact extraction at 16:36:54 UTC, PID 6344, using the separately prepared v2 launcher and a new private profile. The launch environment retained PATH=C:\Windows\System32;C:\Windows, private USERPROFILE, APPDATA/LOCALAPPDATA and TEMP/TMP. It included the standard parent SystemDrive, ProgramData, ALLUSERSPROFILE and PUBLIC values, and its private Desktop existed before launch. No application or package binary changed between trials.

Root observed Home with empty Recent models and the offline Engineering guide, then opened the private baseline through the real Windows picker. The first type_text did not enter text; ordinary Tab/Shift+Tab focus recovery and a selected test character established the real filename field before typing the path. The picker then opened the intended model. This interaction history is not omitted or represented as an automated first-attempt focus pass.

Behavior → Add first lifeline retained the independent names Assessment lifeline and Assess incident work. The child explicitly created an OA Activity at layer root. Use still showed two accepted objects; root clicked Create before Save, which showed four objects and the represented lifeline on the canvas. Ctrl+S displayed All changes saved. The preserved staged/created/saved screenshots corroborate the separate adoption and commit.

The unchanged v2 helper's saved action completed exit 0 at 16:48:57 UTC. Its unchanged oracle (SHA256 967d9ba3c6fb3a7efb410833903ec94556ca2d48a67d5072c8bb160f40a00f9c) reported complete Project equality, three exact source/disk files, and original role UUIDs. Readback confirms the checkpoint, working files and saved hash map agree. The accepted source records Activity 6073e5c2-f8ec-4d2e-a1b3-a5003d0553f2 and Lifeline b5018105-0708-4077-9d74-98643d5936aa; their names, reference and root placement are preserved in the exact source checkpoint.

Native Alt+F4 closed PID 6344. The process was observed absent at 16:49:52 UTC; a numeric GUI exit code was not observed. The unchanged helper's after-close receipt at 16:50:02 UTC and subsequent independent file readback confirm all 559 original package files, with no addition, removal or changed byte. Loaded-module readback finds only the packaged executable and sibling libunwind.dll outside C:\Windows. GUI stdout/stderr are empty. The Windows-only runtime PATH did not require compiler/toolchain directories.

This establishes the bounded packaged desktop workflow above. The independent packaged-server API/persistence/restart gate is in the separate review. This trial does not newly establish Undo/Redo, Machine, minimum-height recovery, an optimized build, Linux acceptance or all OA/SA release requirements.

Frozen package and first native trial

The independent review admitted the exact 559-file ZIP, 32,775,691 bytes, SHA256 9186d4fc9a7b52fb195c183c4847c8e3419ea6da8b3f907e0c06f9ceec58dee0. Root launched its independent extraction at 16:22:25 UTC, PID9764, using GUI5657 and F456 runtime, a new private application profile and PATH=C:\Windows\System32;C:\Windows. Full process environment and executable paths are recorded in .local/contextual-prerelease-gui-20260911/launch.json. The only loaded modules outside C:\Windows were the packaged executable and its sibling libunwind.dll. No compiler or toolchain runtime path was needed.

The Home page opened with an empty Recent models list. The built-in Engineering guide rendered its offline topics and first-model instructions. Through the real Open picker, root loaded a private complete two-file contextual-source baseline, then used Behavior → Add first lifeline. Parent name Assessment lifeline and new root Activity Assess incident work remained independent; the source form showed the retained consumer and explicit OA root. Use returned to the pending parent with two accepted objects. Root clicked Create before Save; the canvas and tree then showed the Activity and its lifeline with four accepted objects. Ctrl+S displayed All changes saved.

The unchanged complete model/source oracle subsequently passed this first trial's model-only check: three exact reachable/physical source files and original role UUIDs. This does not waive the separate package-inventory failure. Screenshots, exact checkpoint, oracle output/arguments and raw process logs remain in the first trial. Native Alt+F4 closed PID9764 normally; a subsequent process check found it absent. A numeric GUI exit code was not observed.

Test-environment correction and preserved failure

The custom USERPROFILE initially had no Desktop directory. Windows Open showed a Location is not available notice for that private path. Root created only that missing directory inside the private trial profile and dismissed the notice with Escape. The first accessibility-index click did not dismiss it; a later set_value attempt returned Requested property was not in the CacheRequest. After refreshing, ordinary literal typing into the visibly focused file-name field opened the intended private model. No model-path shortcut or implicit source modification was substituted.

After GUI Save, the strict package guard refused before running its saved checkpoint oracle. Exact comparison found no removed or changed original file, but one new file at the literal relative path %SystemDrive%/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/Caches/cversions.2.db. The launcher omitted SystemDrive; this was the identified environment hypothesis for Windows shell cache placement. The fresh corrected trial above retained the exact package inventory without that addition. The extra file, first extraction and first trial are preserved. They are not cleaned or relabeled as an unchanged-package pass. The later explicitly scoped model-only oracle check above was recorded separately.

The corrected launcher retained private APPDATA/LOCALAPPDATA/USERPROFILE and TEMP/TMP, created Desktop before launch, and supplied only the named standard Windows paths without inheriting credentials or toolchain PATH. Both helpers remain unchanged in the evidence, including their complete artifact/oracle and package-inventory guards. The first extraction's cache is retained locally; the durable archive keeps its exact delta/hash receipt, not the cache itself. The server reviewer's earlier artifact/API/persistence results remain separate and valid for their recorded pre-GUI scope.
