# GUI5657 source-child recovery and cancellation
|
||
|
||
Codex-9e8r6t /root/release_audit, 2026-09-11. This archive preserves only root's frozen initial/recovery Lifeline runs and cancellation checkpoint. Direct Create, history, Chain and Machine acceptance are excluded.
|
||
|
||
The 24 raw copies retain their exact original bytes. `verification.json` maps each archived relative path to its original repository-relative path, length and SHA256. `manifest.json` hashes every other archive file and excludes itself. No profile/work/cancelled-copy duplication, binary, future run directory or private package is included.
|
||
|
||
Container-format discrepancy retained transparently: the three screenshots have original .png filenames but their file signatures and image decoder identify JPEG payloads. They display correctly. No re-encoding or renaming was performed; checksums bind the actual captured bytes. Dimensions are 1102×732 (minimum), 2245×1232 (wide) and 1442×932 (cancelled Save).

||
Original records are under `.local/native-qa/contextual-source-20260911-v2`: preflight.json, Lifeline runs/initial and runs/recovery, the four recovery-evidence before/after records, cancelled result/log and the two checkpoint-cancelled source files. Exact preparation/check/launch helper sources from `.local/native-qa` are preserved under methods/. They describe the executed method; their path discovery and mutation logic assumes the original private location. Do not run the archived copies in place.

||
## Independent frozen-record checks
|
||
|
||
- Both recovery snapshots' complete accepted source bundle equals the independent two-file fixture at `harness/fixtures/staged-source-authoring/base`. Their entire workspace objects and authored behavior objects are exactly equal to each other. Workspace applied state, both original/current file versions and reachable paths agree with that baseline.
|
||
- Parent name ` Retain parent 雨 ` and source name ` Retain source Δ ` retain their surrounding spaces and distinct text. The child remains explicit Activity / OA / semantic layer root, and is editing rather than staged.
|
||
- The restored snapshot has origin null, preserving recovered-copy isolation. The new recovery record ID/time may differ; those wrapper fields are not misrepresented as whole-record equality.
|
||
- All four reserved UUIDs remain identical and distinct version-4 IDs: invocation `d35280aa-09ba-4281-a32e-2080f9af7161`, source `188cc882-b656-4d76-bb46-33ffe6d2ab22`, child token `c2a3e470-46cb-427a-8390-cbbc57f1bc01`, consumer identity `6c15e882-e523-4793-b715-d2e9bfd1ff38`.

- The saved cancelled checkpoint contains exactly notes.arcadia and project.arcadia, byte-identical to the independent baseline and bound by cancelled-result.json. The unchanged core oracle's recorded `same` command exited 0 and reports exact model/identity, two reachable sources and two exact disk files. This archiver independently rechecked bytes and records; it did not rerun that oracle.

||
The preflight manifest includes previously checked Machine input preparation; retaining its exact bytes does not establish any new Machine workflow result. The launch manifests bind GUI SHA256 `5657BAB5C841939B66F901EFE6C0FFB2D7CBBE8CC5F111A0CA3DE8073D3846CE` and the verified runtime DLL. Initial PID 5184 was deliberately stopped only after the exact completed recovery checkpoint; recovery PID 7928 closed normally via root's Alt+F4 and was observed absent. Its normal-close record has no invented process exit code. Both runs' actual stdout/stderr are empty payloads, retained as such.

||
## Native observations and limits
|
||
|
||
Root observed the complete Name, determined Activity heading, explicit root parent and pinned Back/Use at the normal-panel 1100×700 client size. The archived minimum screenshot independently shows those controls without the earlier clipped Name; its frame-inclusive image is 1102×732. Root's maximize/restore trial retained raw names. After recovery, Escape dismissed only the child; reopening showed a blank new child; temporary source Use followed by parent Cancel left no model adoption. Ctrl+Z reported Nothing to undo, and Save As to the separate cancelled-copy yielded the exact baseline oracle result above. These event observations belong to root's native trial, not to a new UI run by this archiver.

|
||
This slice does not prove direct source+consumer Create, Undo/Redo after an accepted transaction, Machine recovery or any Linux behavior. Root continues those separately. The earlier GUI52 native evidence and current GUI5657 cancellation/recovery evidence are distinct.

||
|
||
The directory has a narrow -text attribute rule to preserve measured bytes. Its five .log files remain affected by the repository's global *.log ignore rule; root must explicitly include them when staging. Root owns native reporting, ledgers and publication. No compiler, native input, WSL or Git/index mutation was performed by this archiver.
