# Release readiness — 2026-09-10
Codex /root/release_audit inspected HEAD 1797516, current contracts/ledgers, issue #1 and Wiki. Durable report: `harness/release-readiness-audit-20260910.md`. No Cargo/native execution was part of this audit; palette repair/build and root acceptance remain separate.
Release remains incomplete: current palette basic editing/native acceptance, current Linux desktop/server checks, final optimized packages and fresh end-state review. Communication means, selective views, coverage diagnostics, contextual occurrence links and exact operation identity already exist; older absence claims are superseded.
Concrete delivery gaps rechecked: optimized source-run instructions do not stage the Home walkthrough; beginner guide still describes old toolbar; Docker context lacks .local/private-data exclusions; Linux final packaging/notices absent; package README links escape staged closure; server guide says schema5; only GitHub Actions exists despite GitLab/Gitea remotes and no explicit Rust1.90 CI job.

Changed host: rebooted 2026-09-10 05:07:04 -07:00. WSL2.7.13/kernel6.18.33.2-2/WSLg1.0.73.2 installed, no distributions. Fresh status no longer reports old WSL2 virtualization failure, but execution is unproven. Canonical Ubuntu24.04.4 WSL archive is391541571bytes; fresh SHA2569b2f7730dc68227dd04a9f3e5eab86ad85caf556b8606ad94f1f29ff5c4fd3f5 matches retained HTTPS release checksum. No OpenPGP claim.

Root now authorizes one supported isolated WSL2 readiness route using unique distro ArcadiaStudio-Release1-20260910 under .local/linux-wsl/release1-20260910, subject to disk/RAM preflight. No QEMU workaround, global settings, host restart, unregister, Cargo or agent GUI control. An older cross-built ELF may establish runtime environment viability only; current release still needs a fresh build and actual acceptance. Root owns GUI and release decisions.
