You can't spread lifelines (to void clipping of call names), you can't move arrows aroud, you can't resize stuff and other similar issues...
Current controls implemented via strange draggable rectangle is strange, unintuitive and hard to use. It should be easy to edit scenario diagrams. As easy as editing and working with architecture diagrams. So, simple, generally accepted (and intuitive because of that) controls should be implemented. You can explore original ARCADIA Capella to see their solution for this

Codex-ytr83r /root claims the scenario direct-editing outcome, extending the existing #2 layout work; current #20 comments show no other owner. Immediate isolated branch codex/behavior-anchor-plan-ytr83r-20260912 starts from published66a1f1690f778c8814bfefff7f46fe7f6bbe520e and tests exact placement before any production schema selection. Live dependency record remains here, with current evidence and falsifiers.

Acceptance: ordinary direct controls for lifeline spacing, whole-message movement, route/label editing and relevant frame/box sizing; no draggable-rectangle-only substitute. Preview/commit/reopen and graphical/text/API values must agree; zero motion must preserve latent authored values, Undo/Redo restores exact state, stable occurrence identities and semantic membership/lifetimes remain intact, and real Windows small/large scenario workflows must be exercised. The current seed-spacing floor is not accepted. Cross-event movement and frame-enclosure policies must be explicit rather than silently becoming semantic reorder or clamping.

Codex-956atf retains #16 general/architecture resize and #21 nested activation work. I will coordinate the shared frame/anchor/activation interfaces, retain lifetime clipping in a combined renderer and avoid editing that peer's source. #7 prospective schema8 is not adopted or exclusively reserved by this claim. Initial tests remain a probe, not completion of this issue; Linux remains user-paused.

Codex-ytr83r /root: the complete-anchor Scene experiment is committed and published at 4b782a71fc011defd39331d3d6d5b73c1506275c, branch codex/behavior-anchor-plan-ytr83r-20260912. All 21 changed artifacts were read back with matching Git blob hashes and byte counts, including the original two candidate snapshots and raw patches. Reproduction, independent numeric expectations, review corrections and limitations are accessible to peers without local paths.

This source is formatted and independently reviewed, but not compiled or executed yet. The planned single-binary gate selects 10 existing floor/lifetime tests plus 13 complete-anchor tests, with explicit counts preventing zero-test acceptance. The three preserved static falsifiers exposed split frame-header geometry, a Create marker outside the actual root lifetime span, and an operand scope escaping its enclosing fragment. Bounded corrections now reject those unsupported positions and retain non-vacuous positive geometry/lifetime checks. No runtime failure/pass is inferred from those reviews.

This tests exact placement through the existing renderer; it does not adopt unrestricted chronology crossing, a public layout schema or production drag/Undo behavior. Primary Sirius evidence and the two remaining gesture candidates are recorded in the report. Peer #21 retains typed-activation/lifecycle integration. The corrected 12-test core gate remains active on the other frozen worktree; I am keeping one compiler owner and will run the 23-test experiment after it closes. Linux remains user-paused.

Codex-ytr83r /root: current 4b782a7 Windows check passed (cargo check -p oa-desktop --bin arcadia-studio --tests --locked --offline, exit0). The test executable/listing is now compiling; no 23-test runtime result yet.

New source-verified finding changes the next implementation scope: widening lanes alone cannot reveal longer names. Both our4b782a7 and peer aadc6396 paint short(&l.label,32), independently of available lane gap. views::short normalizes whitespace and keeps31 graphemes plus ellipsis. The225-unit backplate is only an estimated rectangle, not a matching text clip. Existing release1 oa_conversation already loses the tail of real call/reply occurrence names. Our behavior/scenario/usage.rs also hardcodes the same32 limit when deciding visible operation-label membership; changing only paint would break that agreement.

The bounded candidate is one measured, geometry-dependent displayed label feeding paint, backplate, hit bounds and navigation visibility. It must be resolved after activation endpoint alignment, handle reversed/self messages and preserve bar continuity/precise hits. Actual-render evaluators must prove the full known name appears when the lane gap permits, distinguish channel A/B suffixes, cover CJK/combining text, and preserve all message anchors/source. Wrapping remains a separate collision/row-height decision, not silently adopted. This is a source finding and evaluator proposal, not an implemented/passing label fix.

Persistence comparison provisionally favors existing Diagram identity with typed behavior layout over an owner-only map; fresh critique is in progress. Shared schema/reference/source seams are coordinated in #7 comment756; no competing schema8 contract has been adopted.

Codex-ytr83r /root: reviewed scenario layout direction is committed/pushed/read back at75cb09dade2cf4b9a176b5e6159f43e2345d196e on codex/scenario-layout-ytr83r-20260913. This selects the storage direction, not a new public schema or completed behavior: existing Diagram identity, Scenario projection first, typed sparse authored layout. Process/FunctionalChain use topology, so an unused Process sequence projection is excluded from this first increment while full behavior editing remains required.

Fresh critique made three requirements explicit: gestures distinguish derived unsaved versus saved representations and view visits; copying a view keeps semantic references while creating only a new Diagram identity; isolated appearance editing constrains authored records/semantic IDs rather than forbidding legitimate dependent rendered movement. The report also defines projection dispatch, reference/remapping/deletion, no-motion/history and source/REST/native acceptance obligations. Schema8/shared-file coordination remains pending in#7; no core fields or syntax changed.

A separate two-file measured-label candidate is now implemented but unwired/unformatted/uncompiled. It uses the actual Iced text allocator, zoom/font metrics and original-source visibility mapping; six candidate tests use independent Paragraph measurements. Fresh code review is underway. The frozen4b782a7 test executable is still compiling, and its source remains unchanged. Linux stays paused.

Codex-ytr83r /root: actual parser/Document/Scene experiment gates are now closed on source 4b782a71fc. Windows GNU LLVM: cargo check desktop bin/tests exit 0; exact listing selected 10 floor/lifetime + 13 complete-anchor cases; execution 23 passed, 0 failed, 0 ignored (895 filtered). All 574 captured input paths, sizes and SHA-256 values remained unchanged. Passing scoped-restoration cases intentionally emit panic messages; no crash is inferred.

Published result commit 436d8ee068, with all 11 evidence files read back by exact Git blob and byte count: http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/436d8ee06871a20815616cb4f9ba263fe4a6afea/harness/experiments/behavior-anchor-plan-gates-20260913/README.md . This preserves the earlier prepared experiment source unchanged. The floor-policy counterexample remains a rejection of that policy; successful experiment execution is not persisted-layout, drag, source/API parity, native UI or full-regression acceptance.

Next: measured-label review corrections (font artifact lifetime, a vacuous cache test, finite world dimensions) in the isolated scenario-layout contribution; separately run the navigation/rename union208 gates for #27. Linux remains user-deferred.

Codex-ytr83r /root: measured-label/corridor evaluator now executed successfully on exact source903d85dda403b93731c05a08b97fa7d257d012dd. Corridors subtract blockers across the entire padded label band, not merely baseline/paint order. Settled-font lifetime rejection is tested; dynamic WGPU recovery, ink/overhang, production self/reversed placement, native hit/navigation, persisted layout and drag are not accepted. Independent corridor source review is in progress. #27 union10bd check passed; its exact-membership test binary is building. Linux stays user-deferred.

Codex-ytr83r /root: independent review caught a real f32 corridor reconstruction defect after the18-test baseline: finite endpoints could subtract to infinite width, or rounded width could cross a blocker (right2.125 versus blocker2.1). Fixed source345f7b3d5b64cef6e75f907c4d47f5b5658f1eba converts conservatively and rounds inward; two regressions first prove the old arithmetic fails, then require finite contained output. Codex-ytr83r: published the independently reviewed, corrected standalone WGPU evaluator at e409107a63, harness/experiments/scenario-label-wgpu-20260913/README.md; all3 source/runner/doc files exact-readback verified. It prepares32 real Frame/WGPU readbacks, font-coverage and transform controls, empirical ink/backplate/corridor findings, and source/dependency/executable/output hashes. It is NOT yet compiled or executed; prior20 standalone measurement/corridor tests remain separate evidence. The compiler/GPU gate stays sequential with navigation build. In parallel, the Scenario-specific production contribution authorized in #7 comment785 now has typed sparse model, scoped commands, deletion/remap preflight and source row-identity edits plus authored regressions; it is still uncommitted/uncompiled and not a peer import yet. Public schema version and aggregate accounting remain the coordinated codec-owner gate; no source8 compatibility claim.

Codex-ytr83r: actual WGPU evaluator compiled and executed32 probes, all font/manual-payload/translation controls valid, but returned2 with8 italic corridor findings (12 advance-spill cases total). Every sample remained inside its 3x2 padded backplate and left blocker pixels unchanged; the rejected policy placed text at the corridor edge without reserving left ink overhang. This is a caller-policy finding, not a violation of the helper's narrower advance-bounds contract. Complete evidence is published at http://217.177.34.108:3000/sorokin.oleg.edu/ARCADIA-Studio/src/commit/31695dcc496758d43e57ae2018e39dc0e7541bbf/harness/experiments/scenario-label-wgpu-rejection-20260913/README.md . All47 files exact-readback verified; pixels.zip's225 raw outputs match the original output manifest. Binary and all explicit dependency/native inputs remained stable. A second empirical policy will reserve an inset inside the unchanged corridor; no production/native acceptance claimed.

First ecc49e0 core compile rejected one missing EditContext argument in source_project/source_migration.rs. All584 gate inputs stayed unchanged; this failure is preserved. The call is corrected for the next frozen candidate. A separate source audit found direct SVG export could silently emit a blank Scenario image despite App's existing guard; a narrow fallible exporter correction and regressions are prepared, uncompiled. Public schema integration remains pending with #7 owner.

Broader core all-target tests are running on frozen584 inputs; strict/core aggregate codec/version and desktop projection/export gates remain pending. No schema-version or gesture acceptance claim.

Independent policy critique favors view-local body/label spacing plus a named explicit Reorder action over implicit semantic crossing, provisionally subject to native discoverability tests. Do not invent a new no-crossing chronology rule: successful resolver diagnostics stay visible; unsupported geometry must be refused without promising fallback as the drag preview. Concrete constraints: preserve dragged semantic selection (position commands return Diagram IDs), freeze displayed Fit camera during gestures, preserve exact sparse source/redo on zero motion/cancel, validate captured view visits, and make preview/commit/Undo/reopen agree. Existing same-parent SetSteps alone may leave saved absolute arrows stationary; its complete reorder/layout policy remains unresolved before gesture adoption. Codex-ytr83r /root: isolated pure spacing prototype is published at 28b7dc5b30 on codex/scenario-spacing-ytr83r-20260913 (457a2c2 prototype plus83 compile correction). All3 net files against83 exact decoded Gitea/local/blob readback verified,182380bytes. Nine tests authored, UNEXECUTED; module remains cfg(test), with no shipped drag feature. Capture uses actually drawn owned lanes/Exchange occurrences; preparation returns no-op, structured refusal, or existing core command + proposed Project + actual resolved Scene. It retains exact sparse source/redo on zero motion and refuses fallback as a promised preview. Independent source review found one geometry-evaluator omission; corrected comparison now includes ordered insertion-slot parent/before/y/label. No remaining demonstrated bounded source defect; Create/Delete/Timer/nested-operand motion and runtime preview cost remain untested.

A separate source critique of intentional Saved Reorder confirms no generic anchor-permutation policy yet: sparse records position messages, while mixed automatic shapes and already-crossed rows lack interchangeable position slots. Preserving another view's coordinate records does not guarantee unchanged appearance after shared semantic reorder. Next gesture work must keep view-local spacing separate, retain honest sequence-order actions, and preview actual resolved geometry before promising a Saved graphical reorder. Native discoverability and precise post-commit selection/camera are still acceptance gates.

UI83 listing is still compiling; compiler reported private_interfaces on Scope.scenario_view exposing crate-private Representation. Parent will collect focused runtime findings before correcting that visibility warning and starting full/strict/GUI validation. No current UI test pass.

Codex-ytr83r checkpoint: desktop full run on cb5d50de03 closed with 1,040 passed, 2 failed, 3 existing ignored, 0 filtered (974.39s). Strict desktop/server and GUI build were not run after this failure.

Both failures occur before their behavioral assertions: legacy fixtures directly assign page/owner fields and skip the new Scenario representation/live-visit initialization. Bounded corrections use actual navigation messages and retain/strengthen source-history and stale-context assertions; no production fix is indicated by those failures. Exact failed-run evidence is being published in the existing evidence branch.

The separate Saved-spacing implementation now has cached immutable previews, frozen press camera, explicit header/message hit roles, atomic Document commit, cancellation, and 36 new evaluators (pure/controller/App/mounted/hit-role). Source review found and corrected a zoom-sensitive re-hit mismatch. This code is uncompiled/unexecuted. To avoid two successive expensive rebuilds, the next candidate combines the fixture corrections with this spacing change, then runs actual listing, targeted/full tests, both strict checks, build and native workflows. No release or completion claim; Linux remains user-paused.

Codex-ytr83r /root: c4 focused run is closed: 286 passed / 2 failed / 0 ignored / 794 filtered, 610 inputs and the exact listed EXE unchanged. The first failure is stale fixture admission: presentation_tests toggled coordinate capability but supplied no new spacing Stamp, so no gesture was captured. Its old no-message assertion also predates the explicit Cancel packet. The second complete-Project failure differs only at A.updated_report.send_y (271.99994 versus 272): the fixture's fractional f32 screen start plus10 did not encode exactly10 units of displacement. Independent arithmetic reproduces the precision mechanism; production already uses actual submitted screen delta over captured scale.

Corrected test candidate 0409a481 is published on codex/scenario-spacing-fixes-ytr83r-20260913; parent verified all three remote files (44,555 bytes). It establishes real Ready→fallback stamped cancellation, verifies an exact20-unit mounted packet while retaining the complete Project272/source/Undo/Redo assertions, and adds an independently specified fractional-packet regression. Test changes only; formatted and source-reviewed, NOT executed yet.

I am running the complete 1,082-test inventory directly against the unchanged c4 executable before rebuilding, to expose other regressions in the same cycle. This is an explicitly separate diagnostic after a failed focused gate, not a full-gate pass. The frozen source and old evidence remain unchanged; corrected acceptance and GUI/native checks follow.

Separate source experiment handoff: 11c605f9, branch codex/scenario-label-fields-ytr83r-20260913, is now published and all three changed/new files exact-readback verified (53,161 bytes). It remains UNWIRED and UNCOMPILED, separate from frozen spacing0409.

The candidate extracts winning shaped-buffer cluster rectangles with explicit covered/truncated/unresolved source ranges. Fresh review prompted RTL-leading full and ellipsized paragraph cases and complete independent rectangle-set comparisons; corrected source review found no further concrete issue. There are 12 new normal field tests plus one ignored bounded lookup diagnostic, all unexecuted. System-font identities are diagnostic metadata, not pinned font bytes. A small isolated harness is being prepared to test this module without another desktop/core rebuild; no production navigation/paint adoption or performance claim.

Published portable archive: commit dbf0661ce3 on codex/behavior-anchor-plan-ytr83r-20260912, harness/experiments/scenario-spacing-gates-0409a48-20260913/README.md. Parent verified all 38 published files (1,497,017 bytes), including both raw logs, against local originals. Source and commands/environment/receipts are linked in that note. Prior failed diagnostic evidence remains preserved separately.

This is focused regression evidence only; full desktop, desktop/server Clippy, GUI build and native acceptance remain outstanding. A concrete Scenario Details Properties route correction is source-reviewed and published on codex/scenario-details-ytr83r-20260913 at 8bf7607a3f, tracked in #24; next combined gates will include it. Unwired label experiment compiled separately, but execution is not accepted yet. Linux remains user-paused.

Codex-ytr83r /root: the unwired label experiment at11c605 compiled successfully against the closed0409 library graph. Actual explicit listing admitted25 tests; serial normal execution reported21 passed,2 failed,2 ignored (25.45s), with unchanged source/executable bindings. Both failed before field_layout: the generic font did not form the tests' required ffi cluster. This is an evaluator/font precondition finding, not a demonstrated field-geometry defect.

The complete nonbinary evidence is published at e859d65de5 on codex/behavior-anchor-plan-ytr83r-20260912, harness/experiments/scenario-label-fields-11c605f-20260913/README.md. Parent verified all24 remote files (571,614 bytes), including raw failures and the earlier runner-dispatch diagnostic; no passing gate was substituted for the failure.

Source-reviewed correction4c9bc87e4e66bba573dd63b23df5ea039f85d0ca is published on codex/scenario-label-fields-ytr83r-20260913. The two tests use an unmodified byte-pinned Noto Sans fixture with full OFL license and verify actual resolved face bytes/index. Original positive ffi and complete geometry assertions remain; the Auto case also proves real Basic clusters before final Advanced shaping. Font-loading cases must each run alone in a fresh process, so normal membership becomes21 with4ignored and all three font-related isolated checks remain separately required. Corrected compilation/execution is pending; production algorithm and font policy are unchanged.

Primary Scenario/Details source8bf7607 is now integrated and published on the spacing branch. Its fresh1089/295 gate has611 unchanged captured inputs at admission and is currently compiling oa-desktop from the original checkout. Full/strict/GUI/native acceptance remains open.

Codex-ytr83r /root continuing owned label outcome: corrected4c9 experiment now compiled and actually passed all25-listed functional partition checks on Windows (21 normal,4 ignored; each of three mandatory font-sensitive tests separately passed1/24filtered). Evidence is local-only pending portable archive publication; no native rendering/navigation acceptance.

The optional real4096-scalar diagnostic also passed exact coverage/geometry assertions but exposed slow field lookup in debug: plain scalars6.647/3.877/2.402 seconds; combining-heavy1.504/1.904/1.268 seconds. Source inspection finds repeated all-cluster/all-span scans and linear rectangle dedup. This changes the next step: I am taking the bounded lookup performance correction within this owned experiment on planned remote branch codex/scenario-label-lookup-ytr83r-20260913. Acceptance: preserve complete old/new outputs (including ordering, shared ligatures, bidi pieces, unresolved/truncated distinctions and guards), all existing functional checks, and measured improvement on the same long-field workloads. No claim of a native responsiveness threshold or production adoption. Published4c9 remains the comparison baseline.

Separately, combined8bf desktop LIST passed1089 exact names with611 inputs unchanged. Focused295 dispatch exceeded the Windows command-line limit before Cargo/test launch; a bounded exact-name batch runner is being prepared, preserving closed listing evidence. Full/strict/GUI/native work remains outstanding; Linux stays user-paused.

Portable corrected label evidence is published at 1d8a0dd8b6 on codex/behavior-anchor-plan-ytr83r-20260912: report. Parent compared all29 copied originals and all34 committed files (655,003 bytes), confirmed push, and read back the remote report exactly. Raw receipts/logs preserve original line endings.

All24 functional cases passed (21 normal plus3 separate font-sensitive tests); the optional timing case passed exact geometry but measured the slow debug whole-field lookups recorded in comment969. This is the actual 4c9 baseline, not production/native acceptance. The resulting lookup correction now has a bounded interval index, stable rectangle deduplication and four differential tests against the unchanged original algorithm. Parent and independent source review found no blocker; compilation/timing verification is still pending on its separate branch. Existing source limits, geometry/coverage semantics and renderer adoption scope are unchanged.

The repaired desktop focused runner has actually launched its first107-test batch using the original8bf executable; no relisting or source rebuild was needed. Aggregate295/full/strict/GUI/native acceptance remains open.

Codex-ytr83r /root: indexed label source 9b99e7c626 now passed all28 functional cases (25 normal plus3 fresh-process font checks), and the separate timing diagnostic passed exact old/new full results and independent Paragraph geometry. Published evidence at ad4fce6280 on codex/behavior-anchor-plan-ytr83r-20260912: report, recipes and raw results. Parent compared29 originals and all34 committed files (672,807bytes), confirmed exact remote ref and report bytes. For the4096-plain-scalar debug sample, preserved old lookup took3387.5ms; indexed calls10.4–22.9ms, fresh resolution+lookup90.1–174.4ms. Combining samples and timing jitter are retained. This is an unwired CPU experiment, not a native latency threshold or renderer/navigation adoption.

Combined8bf desktop focused295 passed in three actual107/101/87 batches. Its portable recovery evidence was published at7122f91671b56a5f23f1495ff2e78dcaec3661ed: report. No synthetic single-process filtered count is used.

The subsequent actual full desktop run closed0:1085passed,0failed,4designated ignored,0filtered,939.74s. Parent verified exact1089 raw membership, ignored benchmark identities, and unchanged611-source/same-EXE bindings. Full evidence is local-only pending the next portable gate archive. Desktop+server strict Clippy is now running; GUI and native acceptance remain pending. I have read #27's explicit stopped-session handoff; integration/release ownership remains with Codex-956atf. Linux stays user-paused.
