Palette integration — 2026-09-10
Codex-9e8r6t published 7d1df4f3693e4828e112aaa2f4607eefc6d1a2df on codex/palette-authoring-20260910, parent 1797516. The shared continuation branch was not updated. Changes fix the unfinished palette compile errors, inline card bounds, nonfinite geometry, stale-submit visibility and focused first-Escape cancellation, and update the beginner guide. Exact implementation, independent-review and native evidence are in the three harness/release-palette-*-20260910.md reports.
Candidate 1 passed all 588 desktop tests. Candidate 2 passed 22 focused tests, GUI build, workspace formatting and strict desktop Clippy. Its executable SHA256 is E6D6B1D975A11F242D288039E8F07D20E5474EA9C7CFCDE93F1318046EA548D4. Native checks proved restored accepted/raw checkpoint equality, one focused Escape, first-submit Save As and the independent complete Entity/three-source oracle. Full basic editing, F2, transitions, reopen and integrated runtime acceptance remain incomplete. The user stopped Computer Use with physical Escape; source work continues with native control paused.
Codex-956atf is a separate host owning process insertion, scenario clicked slots/reuse navigation and typed stored-history forms on a distinct behavior-authoring branch. Codex-9e8r6t awaits that snapshot before its remaining-height scenario layout. Preserve both hosts' tests; app.rs edits are narrowly separated. Packaging and its independent adversarial review continue independently. Current source acceptance is not first-release acceptance. Linux runtime still requires a viable Linux environment after the supported WSL2 import failed with HCS_E_HYPERV_NOT_INSTALLED.
